The media is inundated with COVID19 stories. You will by now have heard of someone you know who is self-isolating or is in hospital. Our NHS frontline staff are heroines and heroes at this time and they need our help to keep themselves – and us protected.
We have been asked to help raise vital funds for items needed to keep the staff in the 80 wards across our acute hospital sites fed and watered during these exhausting times where frontline staff are having to work extended shifts. Funds will purchase care packages containing hot drinks, microwaveable meals, snacks, self-care items and other vital items. Anything you can give will help the NHS staff to:
- stay awake when they are exhausted
- be encouraged when morale is low
- know that others are thinking of and loving them when they are separated from their own families and facing tough situations
Please give what you can to keep the staff protected and encouraged.£30 would buy a care package containing tea, coffee, biscuits, milk, baked beans, pot noodles, biscuits, chocolate and microwaveable meals for one team of staff on a ward for about 5 days.
