Three weeks ago, Founder of Welfare of Healthcare, H-J Colston-Inge, spoke to the Head of Fundraising, Sophie Burt, at the Worcestershire Acute Hospitals Trust. The purpose of the conversation was to establish how NHS key workers are coping and what the situation is like across the three hospital sites. In addition, a key question was how the community could be galvanised to support and help key workers a year into the pandemic.

“I discovered that many of the staff were suffering from PTSD and this seemed so shocking,” said H-J. “So we started talking about how music has the power to speak where words are simply not enough sometimes. I suggested a new idea to create a daily dose of music to cheer the staff and also to be accessible across the nation as a whole to boost well-being and to act as a fundraising campaign.”
Music For The Soul has launched with a new track being published almost everyday to YouTube. The Kate Justice Show on BBC Radio Hereford & Worcester is collaborating on the project and music including different genres, instruments and cultural heritage make the playlist a really original reflection of the diversity in our communities.
We hope you enjoy the music!
